The v2 API, Size-Aware Pricing, and Sharper Reports
What's New
Certora AutoProver 3.0.2 rebuilds the public API around a single run lifecycle, replaces flat per-contract pricing with quotes that reflect the real size of the code you point at, and sharpens AutoProver reports and pull requests.
A New Public API
The public API moves to /v2, with one launch endpoint per engine and one shared lifecycle for every run.
- Quote before you launch — Every engine now has an estimate endpoint, so you can price a run from your own tooling before committing to it.
- Safe retries — Launches are idempotent. Repeating a request after a timeout or a dropped connection returns the original run instead of starting, and billing, a second one.
- One lifecycle for every engine — Check status, fetch results, list artifacts, and cancel through the same endpoints whether the run is AI Auditor, AutoProver, or AutoFuzzer.
- Generated files, delivered — List a run's generated files, download them through short-lived links, or commit eligible ones straight to a pull request.
- Interactive documentation — The API page in your organization now includes a browsable route explorer and a downloadable OpenAPI specification, alongside a one-click copy of the documentation for use with an AI assistant.
- Clearer key permissions — Service keys show their scopes in a compact view, and revoking a key now takes effect reliably.
Pricing That Matches the Work
- Size-aware estimates — AutoProver and AutoFuzzer quotes are now based on the contract you selected and everything it imports, rather than one flat figure for every run. Large contracts quote higher and small ones lower.
- Public repositories priced correctly — Previews for public repositories used to fall back to the flat figure. They are now sized the same way private ones are.
- The price you were quoted is the price you are held at — The preview and the reservation share a single estimate, so a run never re-prices between the quote and the launch.
- Revisions checked up front — The commit or branch a run points at is validated before a quote is produced, so a bad reference surfaces immediately instead of after you launch.
Launching a Run
- Guidance on top-ups — The top-up dialog now suggests how much to add, shows what a typical AutoProver run costs, and links straight to the page where you can preview the exact price of your own run.
- Tokens remembered by default — For a private GitHub repository, "Save this token for later use" is now on by default, so you stop re-pasting the same token on every run. Turn it off and it stays off.
- Clearer balance warnings — The notice shown when your balance is too low to launch is easier to read and act on.
AutoProver Reports and Pull Requests
- Only this run's files — Reports and pull requests no longer include generated files left over from other runs on the same contract.
- Inconclusive rules explained — Rules that finish vacuously or inconclusively now come with an explanation of what that outcome means and what to look at next.
- Steadier pull-request dialog — The file list in Create Pull Request no longer flickers while it loads.
- Scope in your history — AutoProver and AutoFuzzer entries in the dashboard now show which contract the run targeted.
Reliability & Security Fixes
- Refunds for stranded cancellations — Runs cancelled while the provider was already working are now reconciled and refunded automatically instead of waiting on manual review.
- Correct seat limits — Organizations on the free plan and those with a custom seat allowance now see the right member limit, and allowances stay tied to the plan they were granted for.
- Consistent run ownership — Runs launched with an API key are attributed to the right identity in billing and history.
- Security and reliability were improved across billing, the public API, and the dashboard, and bugs were patched.
